Creating a title sequence that is distinct and complements the dark and twisted narrative of the short film “Checkmate”. The story revolves around two opposing sides: good and evil, black and white. As the two main characters converse, the audience is exposed to increasingly cruel and violent details that foreshadow a bloody and dark conclusion. The boundary between light and dark ultimately proves to be less distinct than previously imagined.
